Despite recent residential development, the village has retained its old-time character with its general store, shops, inns and excellent restaurants. Its reputation is based on the outdoor sports that can be practiced year-round. In summer, the 58-km trail known as the Aerobic Corridor is used by cyclists who come to admire its very pretty and varied scenery or the newly created 18-km mountain biking and walking trails network which has been implemented on Mont Bellevue. Golfers will enjoy playing a round at the reputed Balmoral Club and families will appreciate stopping at Lummis Park to have a picnic or relax by the river. The downhill ski station now offers a summer activity: aerial ropeways and zip lines run by Accro-Nature. In fall, magical colours transform the Aerobic Corridor into a golden trail where hikers can enjoy a peaceful forest outing. In winter, Morin-Heights transforms itself once again into the Laurentians’ cross-country ski capital. The Aerobic Corridor becomes the hub of an exceptional cross-country ski network with 200 km of interconnecting trails in addition to the snowshoeing and fat biking trails. Sommet Morin-Heights, located near the village, is the place to be for snowboarders and downhill skiers alike. There is also a campground adjacent, with cabins for rent, open all year.
