For playing outside, the Laurentian region simply has no equal. The waltz of the seasons gives the region its rhythm and outdoors enthusiasts have an absolute embarrassment of riches when it comes to choosing what adventure to do next. In summer, watersports lead the field, with more than 9,000 lakes and rivers to choose from. In fall, a cycling tour or a long or short-distance hike might do the trick, transporting you at the same time into nature’s very heart, in all its fall glory. In winter, some exploring might be nice, this time on snowshoes or cross-country skis, giving us a chance to recall what it was like for the early pioneers as they made their way carefully through snowclad virgin forests. In spring, it’s time for all things to thaw and that also means some heady experiences for those who enjoy whitewater rafting expeditions, or perhaps the excitement of a day’s fishing. The Laurentians region is the outdoors destination « par excellence ».

Plein Air Aventure La Minerve offers multiple trails for hiking, horsebackriding and biking in summer as well as crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing in winter.
Gathering of artists and artisans of the Laurentians' South-West
Route des Arts presenst, every summer, the works from local artists.
Located less than 200 km from Montréal, this immense water network comprises a dozen lakes and some 40 islands and islets.
Opening hours : Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
LE RELAIS BORÉALE
Located in the centre of the magnificent village of Val-David, the Maison du village houses the Centre d'exposition de Val-David.
More than 200 works of art by the Association's artists-members will be presented in 3 exhibit rooms at Chalet Bellevue.
The Laurentian Ski Museum (MSL) was founded in Saint-Sauveur in 1982.
With the biggest drop of any lock in Canada, the Carillon Canal offers a spectacular view. Equipped with a 200-ton vertical lift door, the lock allows boats to negotiate the 20-meter descent.

Huberdeau, on the shores of Rivière Rouge, stands out namely because of its Wayside Cross. Standing on the mountain-top, the view of the village and the Rivière Rouge Valley is breathtaking.
